Wrapped within a beautifully straightforward steel-tube frame that snugly encases the potent Thunderstroke engine, the Indian Super Chief offers an unadorned riding experience where power, minimalism, and attitude take the lead. It hearkens back to the glorious days of American V-twins when embarking on a journey to nowhere, accompanied by good friends and carrying only the essentials, was the stuff of legends.
The Chief lineup, like all Thunderstroke, benefits from a clutch system that enhances overall feel and forgiveness. This innovative slipper clutch reduces engine drag, resulting in smoother downshifting and a more comfortable ride, particularly in challenging road conditions. Additionally, the enlarged friction zone and reduced lever effort minimize clutch fatigue, which proves advantageous in urban environments or when navigating traffic.
The lineup features a 15.1-litre fuel tank, a bobbed rear fender, dual outboard preload-adjustable rear shocks, dual exhaust, LED lighting, keyless ignition, and Metzler Cruistec tires. Chief riders can further customize their experience by selecting one of three ride modes: sport, standard, or tour, in addition to utilizing cruise control.
