Description:

Norton Commando 961 TRANSATLANTIC 125th limited edition

The original bike was created in 1972 so that Norton could go racing in the Formula 750 category with a slew of talented racers of the era. Phil Read, Tony Rutter, and Peter Williams were among those who found racing success with this bike. The modern 125th Anniversary interpretation draws the iconic red, white, and blue livery and interprets it in a context on a Commando 961. Blacked out engine, yokes and footrests add a sense of drama and authenticity to the limited-edition version of the Commando 961 all limited to 125 units. The colour coded seat cowl also is adorned with the 125thlimited edition crest.

The Norton Commando 961 TRANSATLANTIC 125th limited edition has an air-oil-cooled, pushrod, parallel twin engine with dry sump lubrication producing 76.8 bhp @7250rpm with 81Nm of torque @6300rpm and a 5-speed constant mesh type gearbox which keeps you going forwards.

The Frame is hand TIG and MIG welded at Norton HQ and supports the 15 litre fuel tank, 43mm Öhlins upside-down forks, with adjustment for preload, compression and rebound damping and on the rear, Öhlins twin shocks with remote reservoir which are fully adjustable.

Brembo discs, callipers and master cylinders front and rear, with ABS, handle the stopping with ease.

The front wheel is a 36-spoke, 3.5" x 17" polished aluminium rim with a Dunlop Sportmax GPR-300, 120/70ZR17 and the rear wheel is a 40-spoke, 5.5" x 17" polished aluminium rim with a Dunlop Sportmax GPR-300, 180/55ZR17

Norton will only be building a total of 125 Limited Edition bikes (total number of all version & models in the LE range), with only ordered bikes being built. This means if only 10 of these amazing machines are ordered when the LE order bank reaches 125 then only 10 will ever exist.

We can arrange finance subject to terms and conditions.

Part Exchanges welcome.
